So I have a stainless cylinder for my housing. Can anyone tell me how well it might work to ground the body and + charge my element in a spiral manor? Or do I need to have the - in the element as well?

I have seen systems that use the container as the negative electrode. Makes for less wires to run if you can attach the container to your vehicle body or frame.
