Suggestion to Moderator: A section dedicated to electrical components should be created for threads like this one (relays, fuses, switches, wires, etc.)

I am not completely sure yet (check tonight) but I think my relay died. The current seems to be getting to the relay to switch on but the power is not getting to my electrolyzer.
I thought relays usually go bad when they stay on. Am I wrong on this?
Granted I used a cheap relay from Autozone (maybe the poor thing can handle more than 10A)
Any suggestions on the type, brand of relay and where to get it beside ebay?
Thanks!

Yes cheap will not stand up. I suggest using a 40 amp relay and protecting it with a 30 amp fuse. Try using a Bosch relay(stay away from Bosch "type"), its good quality at around $10.00

I'll 2nd that...
Far better duty cycle on a 40a unit.

Thanks for the replies.
Where can I get a good 40amp bosch relay?

It turns out the problem was my fuse (a 40amp glass fuse) no the relay. It was extremely hard to figure out because the fuse looked okay. The only problem was that the glass had broken in one of the sides and separated the filling from the coper cup.
Anybody had this experience with glass fuses?
