hello forum,
Another question. I already finished installing my HHO system and without any ECU modes I actually increased my gas milage from 15 mpg to 17 mpg. This makes me a beliver. The cool this about this is that my 2001 Mercury Mountaineer 5.0L V8 first started off loosing 1 mpg for 3 days then when to 17 after. I had a Air/Fuel gauge at the time and for the first 3 days I noticed it running rich while accellerating and normal when idle. Now its running normal when accellerating and lean when at idle. Is it possible that the computer is actually learning on its own? I have no check engine light.
My question is that I purchased a MAF enhanser with 3 wires and I just need to locate the signal wire. My MAF has six wires and the red and black wire are obvious plus I checked them with a voltmeter. Those are out of the question. The problem is not knowing which one is the signal wire.
1 - .08V
2 - 12V
3 - Ground
4 - nothing
5 - .01V
6 - 4.57V
Any idea? 1-3 I believe are the MAF and 4-6 is some kind of heat senser or something like that.
