Hi - I'm new to this forum, but have been messing around with electrolysers off and on for a few years.

I just wondered if anyone here has thought of and/or tried using the on/off of a car's ingition system to regulate the power supply to an electrolyzer instead of using a PWM?

In other words, if you could use the 12v on/off to the low voltage side of the coil as an on/off signal to your electrolyzer by driving a solid state relay or something, you could roughly control the amount of hydrogn/oxygen you're producing to match the demand of the engine - or so it would seem.

I have not tried this myself at this point. Just wanted to share the idea if it has not already been tried.

I just got my unit installed on my 2002 nissan sentra - a wet cell drawing about 7 amps cold. I'm also running one of the FS2 "dynamic soft flash" units to see if that will help get gains. I'll report back on a more appropriate thread if I see any gains.
