If you have electronic fuel injection you will have at least a MAF sensor. You might not have an O2 unless your car is newer and a California car which I do not think they imported that van with that engine into California. You might not need an EFIE but you might be able to get some larger gains with a MAF controller if you do not have an O2 sensor. I am not familiar with that TDI. What year is it and I will try and find out what it really has. You actually need to try and lean it just a bid and that can be done with the MAF sensor controller.
