Hho dry cell not working ..please help

i m a mechanical engineer ..i have designed a fuel cell as part of my engineering project...
but problem is its not working.
its a dry cell.
details
its a 7 cell
i used 8 stainless steel 304 grade plates of dimension 200mm*160mm and 0.8 mm thick
9 pvc spacers of 200mm*160mm and 3mm thick and made a hexagonal large hole at centre of each spacer.
240mm*200mm acrylic backplates 10mm thick.
stacked and tightened it using bolts and nuts ...insulation tube is provided around each bolt to avoid contact with plates...
used 25% NaOH and passed power using 12v car battery..it dint work..then used KOH 28% that too dint work...but when i plced only 2 ss 304 plates in a jar and supplied voltage electrolysis started...i checked my fuel with multimeter and no shortage was found...
i was wondering if it has anything to do with my power supply...
the car battery i used had 9.16v in it and later the power supply i used had 13 volt but maximum 2ampere limit...no reaction was seen

Can you provide any pictures at all of your plates and setup? This would help us to help you. Also you need at least 1.8volts per plate-gap, you need more voltage.

sometimes photos just say it better.. When you click on reply, scroll down a little and you will see the next section "Additional Options"- like in the first photo.

Click "Manage Attachments" and a new window will pop up as shown in the second photo. Click "Choose File" and then "Upload". Your photo has to be under 97kb to be accepted by the system. There is shareware available called Irfanview that is very easy to use that you can crop and re-size your photos with if necessary

Sorry Ji, I now get it. First problem is the PVC spacers are to hard and you will not be able to stop the leaking. You need a softer material but not to soft. The gas you make will just leak out. Use EPDM rubber. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EPDM_rubber

Next you have not explained how you have made the electrical connections. There are so many tabs with holes it is not possible to tell.

Your input port and exit port are the same height. The input needs to as low as possible.

Unless this is going to be used on a very small diesel you will not be able to make enough gas with this size of reactor to see any gains in a diesel vehicle. Even in a small diesel you will just get cleaner exhaust. Which diesel vehicle are you planning to use it on?

i need continuous hho production...so what changes you want me to make in my design??/... and i got ua sugestion of using epdm rubber...because in pvc spacers i cant stop the leaking no matter what i do...i cant tighten it too much either fearing it might crack..please let me know the changes required for continuous bio diesel production along with how much power supply required as soon as possible..i m running short of time ..
