I want to know if anyone is getting gains? I mean is it worth it? I am looking into getting one. I like the idea that I can get wire it up and forget about it. I hate tuning for the weather and the gas you put in.
So what is yalls baselines and the gains you get with the FS2?

Ide have to say YES. when I ran my HHO on my 2008 Dodge Charger V6 3.5 liter. I went from 19 to 36MPG for a day, but I also had lots of steam, then it dropped to 14MPG so I unhooked my 02 sensors and ran my HHO, without allthe steam, and got back to 19, after I hooked up the FS2 and plugged my 02sensors back up, I went up to 26 MPGs. so it worked for me. I do have a duel EFIE now that I havent hooked up yet to see if I can get more gains by using it rather then FS2 or along sinde the FS2.
The whole steam thing is because at the time I didnt really know how to build a e-lyzer so most of the 1.5LPM I was pumping into my engine was steam, hell I would boil my water if I ran it longer then 20 minutes, it was a wet cell. now that I know what Im doing, I have a dry reactor, Im puting 1.5LPM of HHO into my engine and getting 7MPG gains.
It would be nice to know if the EFIEs + FS2 get good gainsQuote:

thats correct. I had a 6x3 cell that made 1LPM. I filled up today for the first time with my new e-lyzer which is 6x9 and makes 1.5LPM at 6MMW and im getting 27MPG's now. so its up to 8MPG gain.
Hey all, newly registered but have been following for a while. I have had the volo fs1 and found slight improvement with stock 2000 ford focus, but only 1-2 mpg avg. and nil with hho running. No mods other than dual o2 extenders and reset the ecu.Quote:

I have a 2006 Ford Focus 2 liter motor and the best i have seen is maybe 1 mpg and thats with hho and a efie.Fords are different in that the MAP and MAS sensors are frequency and not voltage regulated. If you can figure anything out let me knowQuote:

Got this email back from volo.
The FS2 works great with Ford including PWM based sensors. Sensor values are read directly from the ECU rather than the sensor itself so analog to digital conversion methods are irrelevant. We've sold thousands of FS2's for use with HHO systems and have seen great results. Thanks!

Maybe I'll try the fs2 and if no worky, then I'll get on with the efie and maf enhancer. I wonder if ramcustom did these?
I tried a dual efie but no gains. Can't find anything that works on Ford MAF or MAP as its frequency regulated and NOT voltage regulated!
Turns out the FS2 instructions are wrong! You don't reset it & let the engine idle. You reset it, turn the key to the 'run' position for a few minutes, turn it off, and then drive!
Just curious, why do you now know this? and did you see this just posted in the "volo fs2 operation" thread? thoughts?

I've seen a couple of video's on the subject. If the engine has been runing long enough to be 'closed loop' in the ECU, it's ready to reset.

Start with the engine running and warmed up, and HHO cell producing. Then press the reset button and allow engine to idle during calibration. Once the data light goes out, you'll need to allow up to 120 miles adjustment period. Thanks!

well theres your problem. "wife" driving.
Maybe the volo2 is not all its cracked up to be(Not enough GAIN). Keep it basic and just use a 128 load point A/F adjuster and resister turnpots to control MAP/MAF & O2s with bypass switch to run stock. Get a spare set of plugs from a wreck so as not to splice wires and void insurance/warranty, that way you can unplug without dealerships knowledge of mods when servicing.
It is magic. its made by elves with pure pixy dust atmel chips. the leds are lightning bug butt technology. LOL.
my car got 19mpg off the lot on average. Ive been running with FS2 and WVI for about 5 tank of gas and Im at 25MPG's. I got up to 27 with HHO and water vapor induction and FS2. Im going to remove the FS2 in the morning and just leave the WVI. Ill report back after a tank of gas. I should have my nickel e-lyzer built by then so Ill try it along side the WVI without any mods to the ECM.

what make of car is this on? I have the FS2 on a Ford Focus and an getting the same results as you- worse mileage. Without the FS2 35mpg highway.With the FS2 32-33mpg highway.
good to see that they refund your money if you can't get the bugger to work...
As far as it being incapable of producing bad results, sounds like wishful thinking to me.

Hey lhazleton, in your hhounderground forum you say volo has a free upgrade for the fs2? On their website 5.1 is still the lastest version listed, you must know something or they haven't updated yet? please do tell the details, as I am still only seeing gains in the 1-2 mpg with it and gen??
I got mine the other day. It's revision 5.2.

The latest revision 5.2 contains additional code needed to be compatible with Volo Distributor Programmers. This is not a critical update, and no map information has been changed. You are welcome to request the latest firmware update from our website. It may still be labeled as 5.1 on the site, but you will receive the latest version. We do not ship outdated firmware. Hopefully they will update the site soon. Thanks!

have you noticed any diff? and did you try with and without efie to notice diff? I thought the chip made efie input insignificant? I was considering adding efie to my cell and fs2 setup to get better than the minimal 1-3 mpg gains i'm seeing. Oh yeah and using the extenders..mmm.. thoughts?

Yes fs-2 is way worth it, i have seen amazing results on every car or truck I have put it on! it must be used with hho to see best results! I just installed one on a 2008 Dogde Ram Hemi with 5.7L engine, and with two of my generators, boosted the mileage up 50%. So bone stock it was getting about average 14mpg, now consistently gets over 30mpg!:) Ive also done others, if your curious just ask!

Is the statement "more HHO gas - more MPG gain" correct or not? I am new to the forum and still gather information about HHO supplement. My personal experience with HHO gen only (no any ECU chipping yet) is very unsuccessful. More info about my experience is here:Quote:

More HHO doesn't mean more mpg gain, You have to use the amount that is optimal for your vehicle. Normally that is calculated at .5 lpm for every liter of engine displacement in gasoline vehicles and 1LPM per displacement in diesel vehicles. But this is depending on the vehicle, some like more and some like less. No vehicle is the same, you have to experiment with what you need for your own use.Quote:

For enterprise applications, for example a Tractor Trailer / Big Rig with an engine displacement of 885cu in. (14.5 Liter Displacement), we recommend using our TT series TT186 which requires 144-540 amps of current at 12-14 volts DC and produced 18-36 LPM of HHO. This obviously requires an alternator upgrade, since the majority of stock alternators are 250 amp, but the costs justifies the means and in terms of costs, $400-$500 for an alternator is nothing compared to the extensive fuel savings.

Hello.I've had the FS2 running on my truck for about a week.I'm not seeing much improvement.I drive mainly stop and go traffic.Running Global Energy's solo generator.Running at about 12amps.Chip is connected properly and was set up correctly.I have a 2011 GMC short bed 4x4 PU with the 4.8L engine.Any body running anything similar?What would be a good start amperage to run this thing at?I'm pretty sure I read somewhere how much HHO you should run per liter.Just can't seem to remember where I saw that.
