I think the throttle body is completely electrical. I don't think there's any cable pulling it. But I will double check.
I also checked the pedal, and it's gonna be tricky to get a lever switch...
Thank you for clarifying :) Now I understand what you mean.
I will try the option with the gas pedal switch, since I don't see any way of placing a switch inside the throttle body. I mean you...
Hi Carter,
Thank you for replying.
Could you please be more specific ? How could I connect a switch to the throttle ? Are you talking about the throttle body ? Just before the intake manifold ?...
Hi guys,
I would like to implement some kind of electronic device ( a solenoid valve ? ) to my system so that my reactor shuts off when I release the gas pedal, and turns on when I press it.
...
Hi guys,
I've been conditioning my first reactor for about 15 hours @ 12V & 5A ( on and off ) and I haven't got any brown water yet. I'm planning of letting it run for another 5 hours or so.
...
Hi guys,
I recently built my first reactor, and something is strange...
My setup is -NNNNN+ with plates being 8"x6".
At the moment, I'm conditioning the plates using my car battery and a...
Hey guys,
I found some 1mm EPDM gasket. That's about 1/25". Is it too thin ?
I was wondering whether I should use one layer of gasket or 2 layers, one on top of the other one. I'm planning to...
Great input guys,
So Rusty, what you're saying is that it would be easier to crack alcohols such as ethanol or methanol, rather than gasoline ? I mean, it would take a lower temperature to get the...
I was referring to the case where you'd have a flashback which would reach the gasoline mini reservoir.
Sorry for such a late reply,
HCS stands for Hydrocarbon Cracking System.
Practically, you use the exhaust heat to crack a hydrocarbon or an alcohol into smaller molecules, including Hydrogen.
...
Running it through the HCS system would be very dangerous. If a backfire would occur, **** will go down violently.
Running them separately should work.
hhofox is a user here and he uses both...
Hello guys,
I just found out yesterday of this technology developed by someone in Indonesia called Hydrocarbon Cracking System.
I noticed that at least 2 people from this forum have used it....
If I'm not mistaken, the OP has done what you're saying with success. ( reset ECU by disconnecting the battery )
Hello and welcome !
I'm curious... why was it a bad idea to drill the holes yourselves ?
Hi,
You can safely buy 316. As long as you don't weld it, there's no difference really.
Good luck :)
Indeed, Nickel is one of the best choices available. If not the best.
However, the price can be a downer...
You're very welcome !
Good luck with the project :)
1/8" should be good at lower production too. ( +- 1LPM )
If you're planning on producing more than 1 LPM of HHO ( which you can with your setup ), you'd want to use slightly thicker gaskets. 3/32" or 1/8".
Say 3/32" for ~1.5 LPM and 1/8" for 2 LPM+
...
I did a quick research on Buna material, and it doesn't work with strong bases. You should get Neoprene, EPDM or HDPE for gaskets.
Also, Acrylic is not your best choice as end plates since it's...
Yes, you're correct about the 0.5 Amps / square inch.
With 6" x 12" plates, you don't actually have 6 x 12 = 72 square " active area. That's because you need to subtract the gasket area.
...
You have to keep in mind that your reactor has 4 neutrals per stack. That, from the get go, makes it less efficient than 5 or 6 neutrals.
How much HHO are you producing at 18-20 Amps ?
I think...
For your engine, you would probably need not more than 0.3 LPM @ let's say 4-6 Amps.
That is without leaning the fuel/air ratio.
If you wish to lean the ratio, you'll have to deliver more than...
To be honest, I don't even understand the design of the reactor in question. I mean, what's inside the steel tube ?
One thing I heard over and over from various sources is that it's bad to mix...
