Wouldn't it be a catch 22? The pistons would be fighting the vacume on the way back up. I also wonder how long your crank seals would hold up under a vacume.

The power supply is rated at input/ 115 volts 12 amps. Thats 1380 watts of power consumed to produce 6.5 lpm. not 700 watts.
6500/1380=4.7 mmw

I would check first for a broken timing belt or chain. Pull the dist. cap and spin the motor over, see if the rotor is turning.

On ebay,Do a search for thermoelectric. I just ordered one rated at 545 watts and plan on doing some experimenting with it.
