    MAP Sensor Enhancer vs E.F.I.E.

Hello all you fine folks! i'm very grateful to have the opportunity to post in this forum. Thanks in advance for all your assistance!!

Does anyone know if the E.F.I.E. discussed in D17.pdf is better than any Map Sensor Enhancer?

We're getting not so impressive mileage gains with using just an O2 Sensor Extender so we've been deliberating whether to use a Map Sensor Enhancer or an EFIE.

I'm thinking that an EFIE is better, but I have no real data to substantiate that.

I'd really appreciate any input on this.

    Thanks again!

    Try an efie first.

I run just a map enhancer. It's easier and cheaper to make than a EFIE. and it works quite well. Easy to adjust on the fly. I haven't seen the need to mess with the O2 sensor yet. but may try just to see the effects. It seems the map enhancer does the job of leaning out the a/f mix. And I don't get any trouble codes.

I did the same as you at first. Take aluminum foil and wrap the o2 sensor about 3 wraps and tie it on using copper wire. This allows for greater heat transfer and then the o2 sensor works better.
