Experimenting with 2 Cycle Engines
Hey Guys - Has anyone experimented with using HHO on a 2 cycle marine engine? I have and old 70's model Johnson outboard that I'm considering trying HHO on. The extra boost would help get the boat out of the water and also would be nice to enjoy a smoother engine and cleaner emissions.
I was looking to build an inexpensive wet cell, but there are many things to consider so I figured I'd see if someone has tried this already.
Such as:
-An outboard generator(alternator) produces very little power
-The boat has an electric troller, so the power could be drawn from it's separate deep cycle battery (then just charge later like I would anyways)
-Production amount
-Simple ways to build the cell
-Switching on and off (this is difficult because of how simple these engines are) -I was thinking maybe to have a button to hold in on the throttle yoke and only use it at full throttle to give a boost
I'm up for any suggestions or rants on about this.
