Thread: Gas price manipulations

    Angry Gas price manipulations

Just a quick link to make it easier for folks to report gas price manipulations, from Hurricane Ike.

While Ike was still 300 miles off shore, service stations in several states, such as Alabama, and Florida (just to name a few) had already hiked gas prices, to over $5.50 a gallon.

It's one thing to have increases after the storm, provided they are properly founded. But quite another thing, to hike prices even before the storm hits.

To report such price hikes, go to: www.gaswatch.energy.gov

Here I'm 180 miles north of Houston and I just filled up and gas was only .20 a gallon more than yesterday. I paid 3.49 a gallon. I hear gas prices all over the country going crazy.

Drop the www. and try it like this:

Sorry! I took the link from a TV ad, but didn't try it first.

It does work as above, without the www.
