1 Gen 6 cells or 6 Gens 1 cell each

Is it better for "production" purposes to go with A) a single generator with 6 cells, ~2v each, or with B) 6 generators with single 2v cells each? I can see the space benefit with version A but I would think there would be considerable loss with current bleeding in all directions in a multi-cell. Which if true, seems to fly in the face of the majority of what I see out there. I am looking strictly at production capabilities.

You could use B by plumbing together the individual gen/cells at bottom and top or manifold at top as long as gen/cells are all level
