    Solar and Wind energy

Just curious who else has researched this stuff. I have put my HHO on hold because for one, I have an OBD2 car that already gets ~28mpg, and secondly the few Ive talked to that have a taurus got bad results regardless what they tried. I am trying to find a carbureted truck for pulling a trailer that I can put my cell on but thats another story...

So I was looking into windmills and solar panels just to see what DIY people like us were doing. Im the first to admit I dont know much about electricity but when you can potentially save cash on bills its worth looking into. I would love to become totally energy self sufficient but that's not easy unless you ahve sunlight all day or a constant 40mph breeze. But for those who dont know much about wind generators I thought I'd share some links.

    Wind Generator Links:

The electric bill keeps climbing every month it seems. So I am going to attempt possibly both a solar panel setup next spring and try to build a wind turbine this winter if I can find all the parts cheap enough. Anyway, just wanted to share with you creative thinkers!

    Doc,
We're on the same page at our house. My wife and I have discussed many times building a house that creates it's own energy. We try to decide if we want to be completely off the grid or if we want to tie in and make the utility company pay us for energy we create. We talk about solar and wind power, but also about using HHO to fuel gas appliances.
Energy should be free. We have the know how, but as long as the majority of the masses can maintain a certain standard of living, free energy will be considered "alternative".
