Thread: Will N plates fix my proplem?

  1. #11
How long will 316 ss last? The ss I used was from welding class so I dont know what it was but magnet would not stick to it.

When I first started all I could read on it was +-+- style, the N plates I started reading on were about a year later. I would drive 30 miles to school so I did alot of driving and would see how my mpg would change.

Thats a improvement, when I first started 4 years ago I was using aluminum or steel plates. The aluminum with baking soda would go 2 days or 120 miles. The thin steel was 1 day and it was nasty in there.

There is a local metal supply that I'll call up and see what they got. They sell about anything in 20ft lenths but will give you a deal in smaller stuff they have laying around.
