Question Whats the best size for dry cell plates?

I dont have a dry cell and need to build one. I called the local steel supply and they get stainless in big sheets and chop off what you want.

I was wondering what you guys found was a good size of plates? I dont want to go to big or to small.

6"x6" is a popular size, I wouldn't go much bigger than that or you may have issues with even current distribution over the plates.

Make sure you employ enough surface area for your target throughput. 4" square for each watt of power is the recommended area for most efficient production.

Good luck with your build! Make sure you keep us up to date.
