simple solution for modifying ecus

has anyone got a easy solution that works on all cars. ive installed a few kits and its a nightmare setting up the comp i still have not found a perfect combo you talk to 10 diff companies and you get 10 completely diff solutions

Every car is different and that's the problem.
Here's a CPU replacement kit. People that race cars use it. I think though you end up replacing injectors, fuel rail etc. But you have complete control over the ECU which is cool.

Try open source tuning. Buy a Tactrix cable and the adapters for your make/model, and download the software.

Mega squirt ECU replacements are "not legal" for street machines.

If you go thru an Air Quality Inspection Station - they can "fail you on the spot".

It would be a great achievement - if you are willing to jump through all the EPA Hoops and Hurdles and fill out the mountains of forms to get the engine map approved. Nothing that about $5M in testing couldn't cure.
