Great job that's the worst part, Your good, remove these to make more room for thicker wire number #10 is ok #8 is better. Some have better insulation for heat i have been using aircraft mil spec wire but you should look around you will need about 12 feet give or take use more and cut back

    Hey Blaster,

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Summer weather is real busy for me. I'm a commercial HVAC service Mechanic. Anyway I have been doing some testing though. These rectifiers get pretty warm. I added a heat sink and a cpu fan and that helps alot. making pcb now and will post some pics soon.

    Transformer is working great.

    Thanks

Are you sure I cant use these Caps Due to the voltage?

My secondary voltage is 15vac, so my rectified dc is about 12.6.

the first caps you said to use, the voltage is only rated at 6.3 volts.

sorry i didn't see that use some thing at least 50 volts break open some old computer monitor lots of good caps in them

Your DC voltage will be a factor of your load how much current your drawing, measure it with and with out a load
