    Plates for a dry cell

I was thinking out of the box a little and was thinking about lead plates. Would they work? My thoughts is that a lead acid battery last several years. And I was also thinking about copper plates. Both would be easy to work with. Any input would be appreciated.

I watched a You Tube video (Ok, Ok, Ok, so I watch a LOT of You Tube videos about HHO Stuff, sure seems Like I say YOU TUBE a Lot huh?) awhile back about someone using Lead plates. At first, he said they were workin Great, but after lettin it run awhile, he noticed strange things going on. So he tore it apart and the Lead plates were basically disintegrating. So he scrapped the Lead idea...
