Finally got some mileage figures in...to my surprise (and I shouldn't be) the truck got WORSE mileage. Yes that's right. They usually get 5.7 mpg but got 5.2 mpg.
But here's why.
This 2010 truck has a particulate filter. In front and back of the filter are fuel/air ratio sensors (like O2 sensors) the engine's parameter's detected a lean mixture and dumped in more fuel. Then it got a little hotter so the timing was retarded (per computer) so the truck would usually get 5.7 mpg...instead got 5.2 mpg. So like auto's the semi's are responding in a similar way because of the tighter parameters of the fuel system. These engines are not suppose to get better fuel mileage but meet emmsissions requirements.
So were going to either put the truck on a scope and adjust or go with the EFIE's.
Will keep you all updated.
Dear B1Jetmech,
I have read your disappoint, but i would like to have two answers:
How many HHO go to intake manifold...???
How many cubic cm had your motor....????
Thank you
