    Basic stuff

Hi folks. The anal layman here again.

As a non scientist/chemist I would like "one stop place" for some basic information that could be helpful for those of us trying to understand HHO gas from water.

I have done some research and intend on doing more.

When I find stuff of value I will post it here.

Since what I find could be incorrect, (as most info is from the internet) please feel free to correct the information.

Feel free to add useful information that you find or know about that helps basic understanding.

    28% koh

The way to make 28% KOH, (it seems more concentrated KOH is possible but electrical properties are not favorable as an electrolyte).

280 grams of dry KOH (in pellet form) to 720 ml distilled water will give 1 liter (slightly more the 1 liter due to higher density of the fluid), of 28% KOH.

Approx 380 grams of dry KOH to 1 liter of distilled water if that is easier.

    Edit thanks to Phil

Volume of Brown's gas from water

    One liter of water makes 1860 liters of Brown's gas @ 0 C, (32F)

    Volume of H2 and O2

    1 mole of O2 = 22.4 Liters @ 0 C, (32 F) 24.446 @ 25 C, (77 F).

1 mole of H2 has the same volume as O2.

    3 moles of HHO, (1 mole O2 and 2 moles H2) @ 25 C, (77 F) = 73.338 Liters

I think you mean 280grams to 720ml. 1ml of water weighs 1g. This way, it is 28% KOH by weight(as opposed to volume like alcohol is measured).

Thanks that sounds like I was wrong.
