    Help Installing MAP Enhancer

I just got a MAP Enhancer from sprill.com off of ebay, and I am trying to get it installed. I have my generator installed, and did not get any results as far as mpg. So I installed an O2 sensor extendor, and now trying to install this MAP enhancer. here is a link to the part... http://www.sprill.com/NopCommerce/No...hancer-01.aspx

My question is this. There are 4 wires coming out of the MAP Enhancer. A blue one that is by itself. And, three wires one yellow, one red, and one black wire, these three are coupled together. I am not sure what wire goes where. I have found my map sensor. and I know one of the three wires needs to be spliced. but I dont know which wire coming out of the enhancer is the ground, and which ones connect to the splice.

I have read the manual, and still confused. I have also contacted sprill via email with no help.

    Please help.

    One O2 Sensor Extender Installed

The guy I bought the map enhancer from said i dont need to hook up the blue wire. Why would it be on there if you dont need it??? I guess I could give it a try without the blue wire, but I dont want to mess up my ride. Any Suggestions?

i went ahead and installed the map enhancer

i went ahead and installed the map enhancer. it works. The only thing is now the car is taking longer to start. It used to start faster, now it cranks a little longer then starts (acts like its not getting enough gas). this happens when the map enhancer is turned to factory setting and also when activated.

Also, the car has been dying on me when coming to a stop, like at a stop sign, only when map enhancer is activated. It will even stop when the knob is turned all the way to rich???

I just installed it last night, so maybe i need to play around with it more, but i dont understand why it is not starting right, and dying on me??? is this common?

    Update

Now the car is starting good, but when i go to tune the map enhancer this is what happens. i start the car with the enhancer on turned all the way to rich (CCW - left). Here the car idles rough, getting too much gas. after a minute, i turned the dial about half way and the idle smooths out. then i turned the dial all the way to lean (CW - right) and the idle stays smooth. it never cuts out like the directions say it should. any suggestions?

    Thank You

Thank you for answering the question. I have been wondering about this for a while now. This probably why my enhancer is not functioning properly.

I have the other three wires hooked up already. So, what you are saying is I should hook up the blue wire to a ground, or to 12v power.
