I had bought a cheap dry cell on ebay. It used o-rings. The o-rings did not hold up very long. I bought some 1/16 gasket material and made some gaskets and that worked great. The other problem this cell had was the electrical connection was held tight against 1/2 inch plastic end pieces. Not a good idea. The plastic can easily melt and loose your electrical connection. Its easy to add a second nut and tighted your wire connector between the 2 nuts.
I would suggest looking at one built good already or buying the parts already to put together. Its costly just buying a sheet of stainless and paying someone to cut it and drill holes.
