    Can't process enough HHO gases

    Hi guys,

I am new on this forum and I would like you to help me with two of the main problems as I has got. I am using smack cell with 6 plates for a small scale to generating to make HHO gases which I am being successful. My problems is that the cell does not generate enough gases as I am using 14A. I am not really sure if it enough gases or not, I can only see the cell has making a lot of bubbles. Can you tell me what is the max amps for a small scale that it will generating enough HHO?

And my another problem, I have a bit of trouble to collect the gases on the top of the water to get through into the pvc tubing. I saw some gases was going through into the tube to the plastic bottle, but I can't collect enough gases. I tried to find the solutions of how to collect the gases on the top of the water and into the water when I used 1/4" tubing, but the gases did not got through correctly. I tried to moved the tube around a bit, but it didn't really helped. There was no leaks at all. I am not sure if I have not done it properly or if the tube is bit quite small. Can you advice me why the gases did not got through in the tube and how I can find the solution to collect the gases?

Any advice would be much appreciate.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Mark,
Welcome to the forum. Please post photographs of your unit so that we may visually evaluate the problem. Your description was not sufficient. You give no reference for us to know if you are making enough gas.
How many liter displacement is the engine the HHO is to be used for?
The Smack cell is a bad design, it needs 2 more plates.
What are you using for electrolyte, and how much are you using?
At what height is the bubbler/reservoir to the Smack cell?

We can tell you approximately what the maximum amps should be for your unit only if you use KOH for electrolyte at 28% of the weight of distilled water you begin with, and tell us the working area (wet area) of your plates.

Thanks for your complicated BioFarmer93, I am sorry that if my description was not that clearly. I don't know how many liter displacement as I am only working on this for a small test to see if I could generate to make HHO gases and if I get successful.

I understands that the smack cell is a bad design, because it will causes heats and the plates would not last longer as it will get corrode. Like what I have said on above, I am only doing this for a small test then I will move on and do the dry-cell instead of using the wet cell. I am using using 28% of KOH.

As I have been told that the maximum amps should be 15A. If you feels that if 15A is not enough to generate to make HHO then please do let me know and what the maximum amps rating that it should be between 15A and 30A. I can't see why I can't generate enough gases or if I did. I have made alot of bubbler but I can't see that the HHO is being reborn. And my other problem is that I would not be able to collect the gases to get into the 1/4" tubing to the hose barb and get into the bottle which you haven't give me the real answers by how to collect the gases to get through the tube and what is the maximum size of the diameter for that tube to allows the gases to get through.

    Mark,
One major problem is the container that the plates are in. I tried using the exact same one -they leak, even though they're 'air-tight'.
Also, there's no way that you're using a 28% KOH e/lyte mix with that reactor. It would have melted the wiring & housing almost instantly. A 28% solution is 3 pounds of KOH flake per gallon of distilled water and is way too strong for any open-bath design to handle.
Try strengthening the solution so you get a 15 amp draw and do whatever possible to make sure there are absolutely no leaks anywhere.

Thanks for your advice lhazleton, what do you want me suppose to do with the same container as you had got? well you are right, I might have been using between 6% and 12% of KOH, but I cannot adds anymore KOH because it will go over the limit of the circuit breaker, who are protected the current from being overload.

I am not really sure what to do with it right now to make HHO, if you know what I should do whether stick with where I am right now or to upgrade the wiring from 15A to 20A or 25A before I could adds 28% of KOH?

What do you mean by the leaks? As I have seen there is no leaks outside of the container, so I don't see any problems with it. And what do you mean by try strengthening the solution?

...And this is what he had the nerve to PM me with-

I saw you came online but you haven't give me any answers. Please could you post the answers on my thread?

Please do so, I am still waiting and nobody is giving me any answers and I do find it bit rude that people like you choose to ignore it.
You thought THAT was rude? HAH! Watch This!

I'm going to do the most rude thing possible- I am going to be honest with you. Because you earned it.

You obviously don't speak English, the translator that you are using is a piece of junk, and it is making your lazy noobie questions very difficult to decipher. You are obviously too lazy to do the research that is necessary to even ask intelligent questions. You are demanding answers from us/me and that is just not done. It is not your privilege to demand anything from anyone on this forum. To do so shows me that you are arrogant, rude, ignorant, obviously young, and probably from a socialist country, because you seem to think that you are somehow "owed" or "entitled" to explanations and solutions to your little problems. Do the research. Don't come back until you can ask intelligent questions.

P.S. In English, the word "solution" has two separate and different meanings... Look them up, it will be your first step in understanding "lhazleton's" answer to you. -And Oh, yes.. DO NOT PM ME AGAIN. That means do not send me any more private messages.
