New here, need opinions

I was drawn to HHOsuperpack.com by popular science. Ive got 7 years of carpentry under my belt and would love the step by step instructions it promises. Is it a good starting tool? I have a 1999 Volvo s70.

Welcome! That site has dry cells and wet cells, but I only saw wet cell plans.
Dry cells are the way to go. The wet cells (where you put the metal inside a container filled with a solution) are just a starting point, and you eventually see that they are a waste of time.
Since you can construct stuff (carpentry skills), just read up here on this forum, and at the site below for the basic understanding of things before you blast off.
