magnetic or non-magnetic Stainless Steel for electrodes

    Hi all,

    As I understand:

The 300 series is NOT magnetic.
    The 400 series ARE magnetic.

    Which one is recommended? Why?

    Thanks a lot,

Recommend 304 or 316 because of resistance to corrosion. You should search the forums for more information as this is talked about several times.

The 300 series is NOT magnetic(lacks iron).
The 400 series ARE magnetic(contains iron).

    Iron corrodes easily.
