On my quest to keep my unit from freezing in winter I decided to try glycol. An added benifit would be higher boiling point. At first I tried it with my well water wich does not require a catalist for electrolysis. The amps more than doubled to about 60 at a 50-50 mix. It produced a huge amount of bubbles and I was happy untill I saw the bubbles didn't pop very well producing lots of foam.

So I cleaned it out, filled it with distilled water and turned it back on adding a little glycol at a time and watching amps. production was good but there came the foam. Glycol is not practical.

Also, while I didn't huff on the fumes, I'm feeling a tad ill.

It's really too bad because it made a good catalist and would have solved some problems.
