    stained plates

I'm having a problem with a black stain coating my 316 plates mostly all on the negative side of the sheet. I cleaned them before using and use a 20% koh and distilled water mix. Any ideas as to what is going on here?

I guess no one has had this problem or else no one knows what might cause this problem.

Sorry but some of us are very busy and or traveling. The negative plates will get a dark gray to black stain and the positive will get a brownish stain on them. The darkness somewhat depends on if you exceed .5 amps per active area on one side of one plate. If you do then in some cases it could make the stain more pronounced/darker. It sounds normal to me but a picture would help.

ONE Liter per minute per 10 amps which just isn't possible Ha Ha .
