HHO and a scion xb

I have a 2006 scion xb only getting about 20 mpg and I wanting to go with hho to see if this will help my mileage. I have built me a wet cell but after reading and watching the hho videos on youtube wet may not be the safest route to go. So my question is has anyone here successfully been able to get a hho system to work on a scion xb without throwing any codes

you can run hho on any car without throwing codes as long as you know what the computer is looking for. all manufacturers are doing the same thing but they do it in different ways. basically you have a toyota motor so it shouldn't be hard.
