    Dry Cell Gasket Material?

How are folks creating gaskets for dry cells? Is there something commercially available that you can use to cut to fit? I have used an old farm tractor tire inner tube to create gaskets and that actually worked very good but I am sure there is probably something better I just don’t know what?

The plans I was following for my cell said Tub liner from Home Depot. They had it in a big roll and they cut me a strip of it.

Ah yes... Great idea... I know exactly what you are talking about and I think it would work well. Thanks for the response...

    Trying something similar.

Laid my hands on a roll of rubberized damp proof course.

    1mm or 0.039 inches thick.

EPDM 45 mil pond liner is what I use. Stack gaskets to get the desired spacing that I want. I think you can get 25 sq. ft. online for $25 US. I have used this material in many dry cells and never had a problem with the gaskets.
