I've got a 2000 GMC Serria 1500 pickup 5.3L
Working on a dry cell of graplite and chrome plated plates.
Tried restricting air flow tonight by 50% utter failure, restriction plate was 1" in front of the MAF, IAT sensors, hesitation, hard shifting, no power. I'll try a 25% restriction Friday at the same spot and a 25% restriction some where else.
We should start a thread for Serrias here / you just did DUH.
I really do not think restricting the air flow without a huge flow of HHO will do anything but get poor performance and low fuel economy. If you take the available oxygen away from the gasoline you will only make the effeciency even worse.
Oxygen needs to be put through the system to perfect the combustion process, which is essentially what we are doing...eliminating carbon(s) in the process and adding hydrogen to replace the carbon(s). More oxygen is then put out (way more than normal) which is why some may see problems with O2 sensors...there are places to purchase O2 things that pull your sensors out of the circuit BUT they continue to read...they are just not reading the massive ammount of O2 we're putting out...is this making sense to anyone?
By the way I have a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3 4x4...and it is Fuel Injected...
What are your thoughts on your HHO setup; are you seeing significant gains in fuel mileage?
jmartin915 I havent finished the dry cell yet. Probably another month.
